Helofan, if your insurance is that exspensive, your either can't drive, and have crashed a lot, or have come from the arsehole of nowhere, where they will pay you to live. Likewise if you don't look around you will never find a good deal. I pay 430/month for a room in a shared 3 bed town house 3 mins from the beach, my car cost $3300, and $350/year to insure fully comp. I live 25 mins from school and spend $45 on gas each week.

With gordy on this one, florida is cheap, for europeans everything is probably half price or less.

How much flying time, what your insturction is like is down to the quality of instructor and you're personal drive, i have seen someone do their ppl in a month at HAI, if you want something and can work hard enough it is possible.

Good luck mate
