In a city where 99% of the people pray to the gods of money and sport means hitting another shopping mall - pollution is simply not an issue.
Lots of people here just don't seem to know any better or care. The ones who can make a difference ie the owners of polluting corporations are also the billionaires - who all can afford to have houses elsewhere and send their kids to school overseas - why should they reduce their profits in order for the low class workers to breathe better - since your average worker doesn't care or know better and would rather go shopping - increasing the corporate profit ...do I see a vicious circle....
