It now looks increasingly likely that RR will be powering EI's new fleet of A350 acft, as both PW and GE have ruled out providing a powerplant for the A350. There has been talk of the GP7000 (the alternative A380 powerplant) being adapted for the 350, but as yet, nothing firm.
