Hi Jim. I'm an aged ATCO and (long) lapsed aircraft spotter. However, the DC-4/C-54 remains my all time favourite aeroplane. Last year my wife (also a lapsed spotter) were heading down the M11 motorway on our way home from Norfolk when she suddenly said "Crikey, there's a DC-4 in the circuit at Duxford". Simultaneously she stamped her foot on the floor and we arrived just as you taxied in. Oh boy - I shed a few tears that day. Many thanks for the extreme pleasure..
