I believe Spenda has it spot on.
I was in Hong Kong for 4 years, kept my Can. medical up to date, however, my last "ride" at the "old" Company was greater than a year from my "ride" at my new company. To make a long story longer, my IFR was deemed to have lapsed, had to re write the INRAT.
