Shemy,

Mike was right - just a bit of banter old bean, but I guess that's all to come for you!!!

Another suggestion that noone's mentioned yet is a visit to the University Air Squadron (UAS). Your location says you're from Manchester and I was on MASUAS for 3 years. Whilst not exactly representative of the full-time RAF, they will at least give you some idea of what goes on and the right channels to go through. Of course, as has already been suggested, the Careers Info people are the best-placed as your starter for ten. For the MASUAS, try the following link for contact info.

http://www.masuas.co.uk/

Don't take this the wrong way, but first impressions count for an ENORMOUS amount. Even when we write correspondence, we get a comrade to check it over first for spelling mistakes, punctuation etc etc, so when you write to someone, try and run it past someone else first (even if it's your teacher).

All the best fella,

Olly.
