Avman, Arrogance is an accusation that can be thrown at those who continually ignore the safety demonstration, the question posed on this thread perfectly illustrates why one should always pay attention. Period.
Standardizaton is always a good idea but there are hundreds of different aircraft types and it's unrealistic to expect that all the their safety features to be identical.
