I thought the Spitfire / Hurricane comparison was excellent. The commentator didn't go into great detail about construction but the size difference and the wing form were clear to see in the footage. There were plenty of Pilot's who preferred the stable gun platform and durability to speed and agility. This show is not just aimed at enthusiasts. It's on at prime time so too much technical detail would turn the layman off. If you're really interested in the nuts and bolts there are plenty of books available.
