Mannion is quoted in today's WSJ, saying that EI is "putting Airbus's feet to the fire" over the A350's performance guarantees.

Incidentally, some possibly not so good news; one of the departments the Greens are allegedly looking for is ... Transport. They have apparently been offered one senior and one "super junior" ministry and the two they're apparently most interested in are Transport and Environment. Sargent is likely to be the Green's cabinet minister, in which case - if they get transport, get ready for full reverse thrust/RTO braking on air transport policy. The second runway will probably be nixed for a start (Sargent being a Dublin North TD) and don't be optimistic about progress on other areas. I'd like to believe Bertie would have more sense, but I'm not optimistic ...
