I attended a Boeing presentation on the aircraft a few days ago. Interesting stuff. Looking at increasing MTOW from the current 875K LBS to somewhere between 910K-921K. Redesigned nacelles with chevrons. Much quieter, the noise footprints are quite impressive.. .There's plenty of life in the old girl yet.. .Oh yeah. Almost forgot: cockpit noise - has finally been addressed (only took 30 years!). The figures I've seen will compare to the A340 (71dB if I remember correctly).
