The best spin recovery that I was ever taught is:

1. mouth fully closed
2. apply full opposite bedpost and observe a two second pause
3. sheets going forward until the rotation stops
4. centralise bedpost
5. if no immediate recovery, apply in-spin bedside light
6. if still no recovery, check height and reach for bedside bucket
