Equitable Life
It has not been widely reported in the press, however if you have AVC's with Equitable Life as part of your Pension Fund and you commenced contribution prior to 1989 you could well be have GAR's. If so do not cancel your policy without taking advice.
Information about GAR's was not published on annual statements after the late 80's, so if you are in doubt ask E.L for your position.
