cleared both planes to FL360 on crossing tracks and then left the sector
I watched a Discovery channel show about the incident, never know how accurate the depitction is but they showed him initially taking the position working only the two aircraft (the two invloved in the accident) and it struck me as a rather odd thing, to clear DHL to FL360, the same level as the only other traffic in the sky.
