Hi all, I hope all of you that braved the weather enjoyed the day yesterday, sorry about only running 904 once but the cost of two runs is to much.
728 is still poorly which is why she was on static all day.
We also couldnt possibly open the cockpits for tours, sorry.
We in the LPG got very wet, even down to the old Gundie's, but 904's run in the capable hands of Denis Brooks did us proud, makes all the hard work worth while somehow, mind you we had a 'little' moment when starting No1, she refused to go on her first 'shot' but obliged on the second, thats Lightnings for you.
Both burners woked perfectly, Dennis had to keep the speed down as there was a tail wind but got her up to 135Kts indicated, mind you the chute got soaked and is now hanging up along with my overalls
We also had a cracking day on the stall, selling out on brolleys, not suprisingly.
Its all going in the right direction for the Q shed fund
Heres a few poor shots I got on Saturday with the camera on my phone, when it was a lovely sunny day
First thing Saturday

Our first job was to refit 728's No2 hatch and bolt her up, then remove the nose jack and tail trestle

Next snag came when we wanted to start towing, our towing arm seized up ! So a strip down and lots of greese was the order of the day.

A few of the other aeros
See you all on July 22nd for our QRA open day
