Good theory I hadn't considered but despite all previously mentioned I can't figure out;
- why some pilots on the best money will leave suddenly on 1st July, unless they fear the 'super' laws might suddenly change in late '07 (in which case they'll still have plenty of notice to organise their bail out later)?
- whether there really is such a level of animosity that those able, being those also least affected by recent QF head-kicking, would intentionally 'stick-it' to QF out of spite simply to make a point for the rest of the pilots? (one could only hope I guess!)
- whether four weeks' notice isn't really just academic because if a pilot were 'too fatigued to fly' once their retirement decision is reached can QF actually make them fly? I think not!
