Or you could do the same to "turncoat" Roy Jenkins.
Or even James Callaghan who sneers with an embarrassed smile the moment TSR2 is mentioned.
But they all denied it then, and they still do! 'Bee' Beamont told me he has a video of the Discovery Wings programme he did and each time he looks at it, it still makes him seethe with anger when each of them blames the other.
Mind you the one who makes ME seethe with anger, is Lord Louis Mountabatten. He persuaded the Aussies to take the Bucaneer instead of TSR2 or the F111. So who sold whom down the river?
Never mind. Just enjoy Nearly Man's beautiful artistry. You can look at it every day and enjoy what was one of the finest aircraft the Brits didn't build.
