Planning

HB

Yes it is good to see more aircraft however the airport will only prosper if they are able to maximise revenue from the ancillary streams ie parking, retail, taxis, fuel sales, catering etc.

I dont think the relaxation of planning regulations really affects MSE as it mainly reduces the regulation on the development of domestic housing in terms of loft conversions and unfortunately I dont think there is much scope for this type of development at Manston.

The airport does not need to expand its buildings for a good while yet as it already has enough to cope with up to say 500,000 pax. If it did want to erect more buildings the Council would want to obstruct this with a new 106 agreement and neither Infratil nor this thread want to get into that debate again any time soon!!

PS No takers on the Caribbean flights then?
