Ben Asher:

yes, on shorthaul heathrow you are GUARANTEED 10 days off per month - apart from february when it's 9 days, due to it being a short month.

yes, you will be on an incremental payscale for your basic salary as main crew (pursers and CSD's have their own scales that you will move onto if you get promoted one day) that has 12 increments - one increment each year for 12 years. it starts at £10,499 p/a and the current top of scale (after 12 years) is £20,088 p/a. however, this increases every year due to pay awards to keep up with the cost of living etc.
also unlike alot of other british airlines we are also paid in various allowances whilst on duty (i.e. meal allowances (which are linked to the consumer price index, and increase every year); overtime for long duties; payments for each midnight that you are away on duty, and many, many more. also each fleet (as in longhaul/shorthaul) has their own unique allowances) which bump up our pay packet to the levels mentioned in previous posts. on average you can expect to earn around £13,000 - £15,000 (the latter being the more likely figure) in allowances ontop of your basic salary annually.

annual leave for a new entrant at heathrow shorthaul is 30 days per year and after 5 years increases to 36 days per year, i believe.

hope this helps.
