Unofficial consultation was undertaken by NATS with a number of general aviation organisations prior to formal consultation commencing, or so I understand?
There's no such thing as 'unofficial consultation'

The CAA Airspace Change Proposal process involves two consultation phases - Informal and later Formal.

Neither Phase has yet been started.

Anyone who objects to the proppsals should remember that NATS is simply responding to Government policy on airports and on the requirement placed on it to provide 'adequate airspace capacity' to meet the needs of the industry.

That said, Government policy on airports is in large measure in direct contradiction to Government policy on the Environment - but then when ever did this Government and it's army of spin doctors and advisers, plus the hordes of civil servants beavering away at the tax payer's expense, ever demonstrate coherent and joined-up thinking when it comes to policy issues...?
