Post Indigo

Like Delta Six mentioned, make sure to get something in writing. Before you spend any monies, a type with no time on it is not very valuable.
On the other hand let me explain how things really work.
First apply and get the security clerance, that is very lengthly process 6-8 weeks, once you obtain that you are an asset for the company. If you have a promise in writing and willing to risk a little go and get your type at Simcenter or where ever, if not yo can always wait for the security clerance to come before going to class, then you would be an asset to them.
So balance the risks and agin get everything in writing.
Have Sim center give you the number of pilots working there.

My friend has just call me and his understanding that Indigo need pilots as 19 Capts. and 30 FO, how long it would last, problably until the end of the year. or early 2008.
I talked to their DO and they are planning of making this a cadet program in order to recruit talented young individuals, Foreign and nationals as he mentioned.
Again who knows when that will be in place.
I do training in Miami and that is the scoop so far.
Sim Center has the contract with Indigo, as many other crew lease companies, but the reality is that they are the only ones supplying people with fresh 320 ratings and that their advantage.

There is Indigo Capt, who was recruiting here in Miami from indigo so he gave the details, most of them were favorable, New A/C ,US managment, Steady schedule (unheard of in India) ACARS system and basically a well run airline, the downs were paid in rupees, the food and language.
Indigo has hired a company to help you get settle in, regarding apartments, mobile, schools etc, that is also very favorable as it seems managment is doing things right for a change, again hope it stay that way, ( can trust any of the bastards).
From the pictures I've seen the cabin crews are real cuties.
Anyway the only line that I have is the email given on previous mail.
Hope that works for you guys.

I'm still deciding if I want to do the expat thing again, but it sounds good from a very reliable source for me.
The first class of Sim Center should be going on June so we will know more as the info comes back to us.

One thing that I ask is that can be a guy with 250 and a 320 rating that just doesn't work, you have to have min 500 multi or 1000 TT to qualify.
Security clearance is 6-8 weeks.

Fly safe
