Having Children who are or were Pilots,and friends in similar situations,it IS very interesting to find out whats going on in recruitment in 2007.My point was that the Airlines today tend NOT to want Aircraft Handlers(Not the Mangler version).They prefer systems operators and monitors,who wander through the check lists ,in ignorance is bliss!So therefore ,a good Ace Computer games Expert would do very well.Britannia used to have some of the best handling Pilots I had ever seen.Cool,Calm ,Collected who were well used to the 7 Ps.Nowadays no one has ever heard of these;for those not educated properly they stand for;Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. Britannia had the Cream of 6 and 8 SOAF,under Robin R,and these guys got Commands very early .I wonder if they could get the same job today.However, the risk of another Kegworth has meant that all Pilots are tarred with the same brush,and Management Companies now vet everyone with trick cyclist tests etc.It is the world of Inshalla.
