10000+ hours and 20+ years with the AFAP, loss of licence insurance is great but not that cheap, there aren't a lot of alternatives out there. Their representation at critical times seems OK – but only when all is on the line.

Their involvement to proactively engage in the betterment of terms and conditions would be an advantage for their members – IMHO. Some would argue the TWU is a better option, however the AFAP have the experience in aviation when push comes to shove which is why I continue to remain a member. So, a thumbs up but would like an alternative if there was one.
