As far as i'm aware, the 'Burning' utility built into Windows XP does not support DVD-R/RW, hence the reason it only works okay using Windows Media. However, there may be a 'hotfix' around online, it might be worth popping onto the
Support page.
Alternatively, there's far better programmes out there for DVD Recording, try having a look at Nero Burning Rom, I think there's a 15 day trial on the site and is very easy to use. Or, if you go
here, and type in 'DVD Recording', it'll bring up a whole host of freeware/payware DVD Recording programmes.
