Yeh sorry, didn't mean to sound crass, but sometimes it's the obvious that helps- swim 20 lengths, and you'll probably sleep well.

(I know, I know, I'm not a commercial pilot, don't know the pressures etc,- just doing my bit to try keep chemicals out of patients).

In terms of damage to your body, the fact that your resting is probably as important as the sleep itself.
