This from the AvMed page on the CASA website:
"Class 1
This medical standard is applicable to all professional technical aircrew of powered aircraft, and is required for issue of Airline Transport Pilot Licence, Commercial Pilot Licence, Flight Engineer or Flight Navigator Licences. "
- which suggests to me that the vision standard is the same for ATPL as for CPL etc. If you do still have concerns it may be worthwhile giving the Aviation Medicine Branch a call (ph.131757) to clarify this.
Another thing to be aware of is that individual airlines can and do have medical standards over and above those required for the normal Class1, so again it may be worthwhile checking with them before you apply.
