Microlight tests
It has been quiet, hasn't it?
The microlight floatplane testing has been on hold for a bit. We've re-engined the a/c with a Jabiru, and have begun running in the engine with the floats off and the wheels on. When we're happy with the set-up, we'll put the floats back on and, hopefully, make a start.
In the meantime, the Thruster with the "go faster" rear fuselage is almost ready for testing. That should be under way shortly, including a spinning programme.
In order to get some float time in, I've been doing a bit of Cub J3 seaplane training during stop-overs in Philadelphia. The microlight should have better power in hand than the Cub, which has 65hp and 1600lbs TOW.
I'll keep you informed of progress.
