I think everyone is fed up. As to what can be done,
'not much' is the answer. Security has turned into a juggernaut fueled by fear and stupidity. It's going to be a very long time before it gets any better, methinks. On the plus side, they do seem to have dialed back the surly attitudes in a big way. A few years ago, attitudes were the norm. At least that aspect is only rarely encountered these days, which is something. Still, I feel that if they took a less hands on approach and got to grips with the bigger picture, it would serve security better. Unfortunately, those that make up these policies haven't chosen their careers as an alternative to rocket science..
