I owe you a beer BOAC thank you so much. Ran the check disk in exactly the way you said, unchecked first, it identified the files as bad sectors. I checked the boxes and it did what it was supposed too. GOT RID of them. I am delighted and so is the computer. Again BOAC that you so much for your time and knowledge. The article was very interesting too and I will store it in the memory banks for future. Regards
