An airlines job is to get you from A-B, sometimes getting from A-B takes a little longer. If you had no information then there would be cause for complaint. However at least you understand things do take a turn for the worst on occasion. A tech delay is a little far from an 'excuse' for not leaving dead on time though compared to the fuel truck having a flat tyre.
