Spy, you need to consider yourself lucky that it's just the intranet that you've noticed. At sign on the other day the whole office was festooned with orange streamers, balloons, etc, etc. There was so much around it was almost a hazard for those who are taller than me (well, everyone really!) because they'd lynch themselves on the streamers.
Given that it was safety week I thought it ironic then that the poor old S/O almost did his back lifting his bag into the bus, then cut his finger on the flight deck and almost tripped over in the thumping rain at destination!
Almost as ironic really as the 'safety bears' from last year (or was it the year before) that they gave out that then had to be followed up with a memo stating what a choking risk they were for young kids at home who somewhat naturally wanted to play with them!
