Actually I don't believe for a minute that two, known specie birds were ingested into the engine.
On scene reports are notoriously inaccurate until/unless an expert from the manufacturer has examined the engines

Plenty of amateur ornithologists around EGCC.
There are always bits of feathers and wotnot wedged in the fan/outlet guide vanes etc and plenty of interested parties have a shufty as soon as it gets back to the gate, whether they be engineers, pilots, baggage handlers or bird-scarers , all have a good local knowledge too.
