Is it the fact that the one engine took two birds that caused that engine so much trouble or would a single heron have likely had the same effect due to being such a large bird?
Not to be over-dramatic but if these birds had been in the wrong place (to an even greater extent) and the engines had taken a bird each this could surely have been a lot more serious?
