For those 'sniffy' of 'spotters', if things had gone 'pear-shaped' that footage with real-time ATC Tx background would have been useful to the subsequent investigation.

They would get it anyway? - From the cockpit voice recorder?

Plus, they played part of the ATC Tx on the news where the pilot declared a mayday.
