Pilots covered by this Agreement will be paid the following;
* All Pilots employed at the date of certification will translate to the new structure with effect from 1st July 2002.
* Transitional increments are to be calculated on current years of service plus one year.
* Pilots then progress to the next level of service at the anniversary of their start date as is the current practice.
* once translated into the new structure the 3% increase operative from 1st July 2002 and 1st July 2003 will apply.
No pilot can suffer a reduction in years/levels of service.

NOTE: To aid the understanding of the above table, two examples are provided:
(a) Current year 8 pilot $74,394 will translate into the new structure at $75,880. This rate will be increased by the 3% wage movements to $78,156 effective 1st July 2002 and the following year the pilot will progress to level 10 increment which is adjusted by the second 3% effective 1st July 2003 rate of $81,955.
(b) Current year 4 pilot $70,820 will translate to the new structure at $71,969. This rate will be increased by 3% effective 1st July 2002 to $74,128. The pilot will progress to level 6 after 12 months or at anniversary date whichever is sooner and receive the second 3% wage adjustment effective 1st July 2003. The pilot will continue to progress annually through to year 10.
