I suspect that most of the "problems" associated with autogyros is rather more to do with the operators not understanding the limitation(s) rather than any inherent handling problems. AFAIR practically all the fatals were as a result of the 'G' going negative - a no-no for these machines. Keep the 'G' positive and all's well. Trouble is, I reckon that they must be great fun to fly and enjoyment can lead to lack of discipline.
