Just checked out the Wikipedia entry for FADEC and although it states:
FADEC is the acronym for Full Authority Digital Electronics Control (sometimes incorrectly interpreted as Full Authority Digital Engine Control).
The first reference it gives at the bottom of the page, hispano-suiza, states:
The Full Authority Digital Engine Control, better known as a FADEC,
Looks like Wiki cannot even find the correct references to back up its own claims
