The Managing Director of the airport, Chris Orphanou, has stated that he believes a decision has been made.
Couple of theories:
Positive outcome for the terminal: with the environment being high on everybody's agenda, the Government delay the announcement of the application being granted for fear of a backlash from Green groups
Negative outcome for the terminal: following massive job losses in the area (Peugeot, Jaguar and their associated companies) the Government delay the announcemnet of the application being rejected for fear of a backlash from Joe Public who is struggling to find work (particularly since the Government seems incapable at keeping industry in the UK), for whom the airport could have provided some jobs.
Either way, don't expect an announcement before end of June at the very earliest...at least this might give the politicians time to try and wriggle out of the propaganda that they try and con the tax payers with
