I've been looking at the options for flights to Belfast from Blackpool to look at the competition JXT are going to be up against. Don't think Manx2 are going to be a worry at all, they only have one daily connecting through flight from BLK to BHD so they don't really compete in the day return market. The big one seems to be Jet2 who have gone twice daily into BFS with a 733. The prices are much cheaper than JXT with the LS flight leaving an hour earlier in the morning, however will the fact JXT are going into BHD mean there is room for both operators flying across the Irish sea?
I think both SOU and ABZ are going to be very successful as long as the marketing is right. I wouldn't be suprised to see both go twice daily in the near future.
Maybe there is also room for flights to BRS, EDI and GLA?
