The BNE guys did that 737 (VH-TJF) in 29 days. The same check with a fatter work package is expected to be processed through Melbourne in 12 days. Still a job well done by guys without a great deal of 737 experience however, lets not blow too much sunshine up their Kyber.
There are some ex AVV, ex SYD heavy blokes in BNE now with some decent 747 background but, a lot of the people they supervise will not. Also, probably won't have alot of 744 tooling available on hand in BNE. Watch what happens when they try to get it out of AVV.
D. COX et-al should be drawn and quatered for what they've done to the Heavy Maintenance capabilities of Qantas.The closure of SYD might have been O.K. if they were going to get fair dinkum about AVV but, they aren't. For a group of people who continually talk success and becoming a world class MRO, they sure seem to be doing their best to wreck the place.
