Reminds me of the days of IRIS (Inspectorate of Radio Installations and Services). A Valletta would cruise around and, amongst other things, ask fatuous questions of military ATC units just to check out correct RT phraseology and use of the Flight Information Publications - until the day they left their transmitter on permanent TX
