Your best bet of coming from Bournemouth is to take one of the Virgin Trains services directly from Bournemouth into Derby, and then catching the airport branded airline shuttle which goes directly from outside the train station every half hour to East Midlands Airport. The bus goes past the Thomsonfly training centre, two stops before the main terminal, just keep your eyes peeled!
