Two expatriates were kidnapped in Port Harcourt last night. The 2, who are Turkish, work for a company doing contract work for Agip, left their house, just 250 metres from the Presidential Hotel on their way to a meeting there, but never arrived. One report says that they were taken by armed gunmen. There doesn't seem to be any group claiming responsibility so far.
Stay off the streets unless your journey is essential (like critical illness - not going to work), keep a low profile and hope for an incident-free day.
