Its around row 8 on the -700 and 9 or 10 (can't recall exactly) on our -800's at
VB. From what I have been told, its because aircon pipes run from the packs up the inside of the fuselage to feed into the outlets in the centre of the ceiling. Whether this is true or not I would not bet either way, but it satisfies the pax anyway.
