VB numbers being close to the mark, the current new hires are not even covering those that are heading off shore. Add to that the difficulty of obtaining a 737 endorsement, period, and the chances of those numbers being realised are remote in the extreme. Alteon is booked solid with oversease and RAAF operators. I know they aren't the only option but it makes things difficult.
With virgin requiring what equates to almost a pilot a day, they will be struggling just to get one a month!!
