Boeing's not paying any attention to the QRHs they're putting out for their old airplanes. If you look through the latest manuals on the -200, you'll see typos, improperly cut-and-pasted material, and out-and-out falsehoods.
Yes, the A pumps are still engine-driven. The Boeing QRH says otherwise because the guys writing about the -200 stopped caring years ago. You're still turning the A pump off when you get the SYS OVHT, whether the pump's driven by electricity, engine power, or a hamster on a wheel.
