Welcome to pprune.

I strongly advise you to read the following sticky thread:

http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=131649

Before i set off on my voyage to gaining the ATPL i need to be 100% certain that I can get something out of this when i'm not goin to spend all I can get from the bank of £35K
£35K is not enough if you wish to complete your training in the UK. Maybe in the USA. I am about to start @ stapleford in the summer and i am budgeting £45K.

Roughly 50% of self-funded 'frozenATPL' holders are unnacceptable to the airlines.

Before you consider a career in the airlines, you would be well advised to take some aptitude tests such as http://www.gapan.org/careers/aptitude.htm .
Interesting statistic & good advise . My big bro 3 years ago failed all the apptitude tests from OAT, CTC, FTE & cabair. GAPAN told him 'sorry son'. Finished his modular training 1 year ago. Now flying for TFLY.

Good luck...
