It depends on what you are going in as? Captain, First Officer, permanant or contract. For permanant positions the recent ppjn entries on salaries are pretty accurate. At the moment there is a fixed roster at some bases which is being brought in on a trial run basis. It's a 5/3 5/2 pattern. Personally I can't see it working with the current crew shortages. The company is very short of captains at the moment.

As a place to work, it really depends what you are leaving from. There is a very high turnover of pilots at the moment due to the current healthy market. Most leaving to easy, monarch, thomson, netjets etc. If Aer Lingus start looking at pilots from here as part of their current recruitment it will probably clean the place out. If you are entering as a captain you can expect to work anywhere between 70 to 90 hours per month, which works out to be in the region of around 65 sectors. The company itself is a typical regional carrier type organisation. You will be flying into small regional airports with small and narrow runways. Can be interesting when wx not the best. It can be very disorganised at the best of times, where you find that you are regulary having to ring operations to get the basic things done. The company is getting ten new aircraft over the next three years so they are investing a little in the future.
