Good Luck Skylite with your application.I worked on the ground for BMI, fomerly British Midland for nine years at Manchester. After two years I had progressed from a ramp agent(baggage boy)to customer service lead agent. Then I became an airport supervisor, after that I finished of my last four years on the ticket desk.At local level they are fantastic and career progression is much to be had as the culture is to appoint people from inside the base rather than advertise jobs internally and externally. The training is excellent and you will have an exam at the end of your course. The salary is crap ,however it can be bumped up with overtime so expect to do about 60 to 70 hours per week to get a decent wage.I fly now for a very different airline as cabin crew and earn the best salary ever and I no longer have to put in all all the hours god sends to earn a decent wage.Good luck to you in your application.
