wanted : experience

Well guys, if you must and do know by now, some airlines cross the pacific with an F/O trained to sit on the left seat who doesnt know how to interpret how to use a localizer and pair him together with a 500 hour relief pilot who maybe knows a bit more than the guy on the left.

It's the trend worldwide, whatever minimum the local regulatory body will allow will be followed, China, Korea are classic examples here, low time local jocks flying 737's or 330's, barely 700 hours on em.

It will catch up eventually, these guys will gain the experience and move on to bigger and better things, widebody captains are now quite common at the ripe old age of 28 years. It's just a matter of a matter of looking at it from management's point of view, after all, if they fill the seats, the planes fly, what could be more complicated than that?
