was'nt it the tennerrife disaster which mandated use of "clearence" only in connection with a RWY?
ie. t/o, landing, crossing etc....
So an:
"xxx, approved taxi RWY 22R"
will NEVER be missunderstood by the chap on the zebra on 22R waiting for a "
CLEARED bla bla....
